Welcome to OHA Bend, the premier organization in Central Oregon actively supporting Oregon’s Great Outdoors, Wildlife and Hunting Traditions – for ALL to enjoy!

You’ve come to the right place if you want to learn how to responsibly and safely enjoy outdoor Oregon. Whether you are a just getting started or want to do a deeper dive into a topic of interest, there is something for everyone. We and others including ODFW host events, classes and hands on field training which address a wide variety of outdoor topics including of course hunting. While we cater to all ages, “Family Friendly” activities are a priority and you will be seeing more on this very soon.

Best of all everything is open to the public – OHA Membership not required!

ODFW BASIC HUNTER SAFETY & ETHICS PROGRAM: Required for youth <18 years old, and highly recommended for ALL NEW hunters. Program consists of either an on-line or traditional in-person class followed by a Field (Test) Day. To learn more and pre-register, which is required, Click here  Classes fill fast so don’t delay!

YOUTH & FAMILY: There are literally tons of special opportunities to get youth and families started on the right track. Take the Basic Hunter Safety and Ethics Program and other classes and resources noted above. Then consider the many OHA & ODFW sponsored Youth Hunts (TBD for 2023), and ODFW’s Mentored Youth Hunt Program.
