OHA, ODFW and OHA Citizen Landowner of the Year David Sill will host waterfowl hunts for veterans and active military personnel on Jan. 31 at Sill’s waterfowl hunting property on the Tualatin River. The ODFW Duck Hunting Workshop at the Gervais Rod and Gun Club on Jan. 26 is required for selected participants, and a copy of their military ID or DD214 form (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty) will be required when applying.
Six parties of two hunters each will be paired with an experienced mentor.
Experienced dogs are welcome (with the required dog license and vaccinations). Shotguns, ammo, waders and decoys are provided, or hunters may bring their own.
Hunters should provide their own food, drinks and the required hunting license and waterfowl stamps.
