Women of OHA

A space for women in the hunting community

Welcome to Women of OHA! This program was created by women, for women in the hunting and outdoor community to have a place to discuss, learn, and mentor. Our goal is to provide women-centric skills building courses, conservation projects, and hunting opportunities.

Each month we send out a digital newsletter with articles, bios, resources, and upcoming events/deadlines.  In addition to the digital newsletter, we host virtual meet & greets and will be developing regional in-person get togethers. Plus, at least once a year, we will host a conservation project to volunteer our time to improve wildlife habitat.

2024 Women of OHA Weekend Away a success!

The first annual Women of OHA Weekend Away proved to be a successful event! Thirty women attended the three day event which focused on the conservation work of planting bitterbrush plants in critical winter range areas of the Crooked River National Grasslands. The weekend was not all work; a day of chukar hunting was spent on OHA’s conservation easement property.

The weekend was the flagship event, focusing on women developing friendships, mentorships, and an abundance of learning from everyone involved. OHA will be planning a similar event again in 2025.
