Black Bear Management Plan
April 11, 2024
7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Oregon’s Black Bear Management Program.
ODFW biologist David Keiter will teach us how to be effective during spring and fall bear hunting seasons by sharing:
- How our black bear population size and health is estimated
- Photos and descriptions of basic bear needs (food, water, habitat)
- Seasonal habits and patterns
- Other nuggets designed to help us in the hunting woods.
- And best of all, we’ve asked David to put an X on a map for us!
This free class is hosted by the Hoodview chapter of Oregon Hunters Association to help you improve your odds for taking a black bear.
Even if you’re unlikely to pursue bear, come mingle with 20+ friendly folks from all levels of hunting experience.
