Using ONX Maps to E-Scout at Home and Navigate Better in the Woods
Come learn the fundamentals of using digital mapping software for hunting. The goal is to show you how experienced hunters use digital maps to make scouting and navigating efficient, organized, and safe. We will be using ONX Maps, but the techniques apply to similar software.
Class will cover:
- Key features of ONX maps
- How to select and use map layers
- How to create, organize, and share waypoints
- Identifying public vs. private land ownership
- Live demo of how to find and scout public land for hunting
We will meet in the back corner at Elmer’s restaurant located at 1933 NE 181st Ave, Portland, Or 97230. The setting will be informal, and you are welcome to eat or just grab a drink or dessert. Friends and family welcome. Advance registration preferred but walk-ins are also welcome.
Before class, we recommend that you download the 7-day free free trial of ONX on your phone or just jump in and buy it with discount code OHA20.
If you are feeing super ambitious, read our online lesson about Digital Maps and come prepared to demo ONX live with us and ask questions.
