OHA’s Union-Wallowa County Chapter auctioned the Oregon Statewide Mountain Goat Tag for $65,000 at its annual banquet on March 11 at the Blue Mountain Conference Center. The OHA Union/Wallowa County Chapter will retain 10% of the proceeds from this tag for wildlife and habitat projects, and the rest will be used to fund the Oregon mountain goat program. OHA initiated the mountain goat tag auction several years ago to raise funds to support mountain goat management in Oregon.
