UPDATE: Cougar shot and killed by police
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – A special tracking dog located a juvenile cougar in a tree after the big cat was spotted Tuesday afternoon in Springfield.
Lt. Scott McKee said the big cat was seen near 30th and Olympic streets around 1 p.m.
There have been several cougar sightings in Springfield this spring and summer.
