Learn to Turkey Hunt (Beginner Level)

Taught by veteran turkey hunter Brandon Dyches from Pheasants Forever, this 60-minute class will cover what you need to know to get started hunting spring turkey in Oregon — and anywhere else.

The class will be relatively short and designed for beginners. If you are still working on getting your first turkey, this class is for you. If you are an experienced turkey hunter and want to become an even better turkey hunter, we encourage you to check out our course Turkey Hunt Like a Pro (Advanced Level).

• How to plan and prepare a turkey hunt
• Oregon turkey hunting regulations
• Where to hunt turkeys in Oregon
• Basic spring hunting tactics
• Scouting and maps
• Calls and calling techniques
• How to use decoys and blinds
• Shotguns, shooting technique, ammunition, and shotgun patterning
• How to field dress, process, and cook wild turkey
• Turkey hunting ethics and conservation practices
