OSP seeks tips in finding whoever poached a bighorn ram in Wallowa County near Troy the last week of January, and OHA chapters have helped bring the reward offered to $3,500. The ram was shot on the Wenaha Wildlife Area along the road leading to the feed site. The ram wore a telemetry collar and an ear tag. The collar and severed ear were the only items left at the scene.
OHA is offering the standard $1,000 TIP reward, while the OHA Bend, Josephine County, Rogue Valley, Umpqua and Yamhill County Chapters have each pledged $500 toward the $3,500 total for information leading to an arrest.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Turn In Poachers (TIP) line at (800) 452-7888, *OSP(677) or Sergeant Chris Hawkins (541) 963-7575 ext. 4670. OHA is offering a TIP reward for information leading to an arrest in the case, or the informant may choose 5 big game preference points from ODFW instead.
